Al Merrifield was an Electrical Contactor and loved to work with wood as well.  They lived on the 23 acres located in Cavendish for 35 years.  Over the years they collected many antiques some of which they refinished, His wife is an accomplished decorator and loved to work with ceramic and other crafts.

Directions:

Orofino: From Hwy 12 turn onto Michigan Ave and cross Clearwater River Bridge and take 1st left Ahsahka Rd, and follow for about 13 miles. To Cavendish. At Freeman Creek Road turn right (There are big grain elevators on the corner) (you will head east) and go approx. 3 miles to Brown Road and turn right. 1st house on the left (Follow the signs) or come up the old Ahsahka Grade, 

Lewiston: Take Hwy 12 East to Hwy 3 to Jullieta/Kendrick. After going through Kendrick take a right on County RD. P1 (Southwick and Wauncher Gulch Road). At Cavendish turn left on Freeman Creek Rd. (There are big grain elevators on the corner)(go approx. 3 miles to brown Road turn right, 1st house on the left. Follow the signs
